Hotel l'Esagono

Hotel L'Esagono is absolutely incredible. Sitting a few meters from the gorgeous blue Tyrrhenian Sea it has all the amenities required for your stay. An awesome breakfast, great cafe, bookings for local tours, spa treatments, a swimming pool, a five star beach, and breathtaking dinner location with local elegant cuisine. The town of San Teodoro is 10 minutes away walking which has a great evening market and lots of good spots to shop and eat. Everyone was so friendly, and the water is the bluest water in the world. I highly recommend.

Loved this place! Beautiful grounds, fabulous pool right by the beach so you can lay poolside and still take dips in the sea. The restaurant was excellent for dinner. Fresh seafood and wonderful staff. The breakfast included with the stay was wonderful too - lots of variety and good quality. Beautiful views of the bay from the dining areas. I didn’t love my room as I chose poorly and ended up at the very furthest back side of the hotel in a dark area with no ambience. Pay a little more for a courtyard or pool view! It’s well worth it. I’ll be back! (in a better room).

This hotel is awesome! The rooms are compact but clean and comfortable. The pool is gorgeous and leads right to the beach which has a beautiful view of the surrounding islands. All the staff we've spoken to have been lovely and really helpful. Plus there's a great cafe/restaurant with stunning sea views. The breakfast is tasty with fruit and continental options. Only small thing I could nitpick is that the bacon is a bit undercooked- but each to their own! Walk to San Teodoro is around 15/20 minutes but there is a shuttle bus if you need. Have been so pleasantly surprised after reading some less favourable reviews.

Rooms: okay clean and a nice bathroom. However, we were put in a part of the hotel outside the regular part which meant that we had to walk more than 5 minutes just to get to the restaurant/beach/pool. The breakfast was terrible, everything was old and a lack of options The beach was the big plus of the hotel, even though it wasn’t private the sea here was incredible.

Great location situated on the beach, 1k walk for the town of San Teodoro. This review is based on visiting at the end of the season and may differ in the peak season months. Hotel is clean, grounds are well kept, with beautiful gardens. Located on a great little beach area. Spacious bar area with restaurant, didn't try the restaurant but 10% discount for residences. Rooms are comfortable but compacted with very dull lighting which made it tricky for the ladys getting ready, also lack of sockets. The showers powerful but small. We had a superior double room its a confidential buffet style breakfast (7:30am-10am) and we found it pretty ok, plenty there, fresh produce which is constantly topped up and the price can be added to your room when booking, it's a good 1k up hill walk to the other nearest places Walls in rooms are pretty thin and reckon there could be a noise issue in the summers busier months so you would possibly want to visit when it's less crowded, October was the prefect time! The hotel and most the of the towns restaurants will close at the end of the season for around 4 months so check before you book!! Around November to March is the closed period. Wasn't to impressed with the restaurants that reception recommended but Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We reported a problem with our fridge and maintenance was there in 10mins to sort it out. The bar area does have live bands in the summer months. The hotel is situated alone on the beach front but there is a night club opposite but its was closed when we was there. No problems with sea weed on the beach like In some other reviews but this could be different in the summer months Overall we had a brilliant time and are already planning a return trip to this hotel. Greatly Overpriced - Our Rooms had old basic furniture and fittings. Horrible bath space, bad tiles/plumbing and hygiene: need complete refurbishing . Small rooms different to what we saw on website. The Hotel does NOT have an own beach and the "natural protected beach" in front of the Hotel is unusable: small, covered with sea weeds/wrack that smell. Nothing comparable to what you see on website pics. The great local beaches such as La Cinta, Lu Impostu, Isuledda etc.. are quite far away by foot and you need a car/bike/motorbike to get there easily. Also because you need to get there early as they get full fast. Town Center is also ca 20 brisk walk away. Few minutes drive by car if you have kids or want to enjoy late dining etc. But again find parking will take a while in peak season. Nice view from the restaurant, OK swimming pool (for those that in Sardinia have the urge to use pools...) interesting external garden layout where the rooms are located. Breakfast is good and the majority of staff is reasonable. Nice idea the luggage storage and bathroom service after checkout to enjoy your last vacation day fully. All in all for 180 euros x room/night, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Maybe for less than half price and in peak season if you are short of places to go. You can find better deals in and around San Teodoro either closer to beaches or with better fittings and value for money if you need to use car/bikes etc to enjoy your vacation
